EBacc?

A lot of studies have encouraged the English Baccalaureate (EBacc), which involves studying English Language and Literature, Maths, the Sciences, as well as either Geography or History and finally a Language. Studies have shown it provides students with greater opportunities in further education and increases the likelihood that a student will stay on in full-time education. Also the EBacc increases your social mobility in the future as it keeps your options open due to the great variety of subjects, which may be more beneficial for students who are unsure of their future career plans. It is important to understand that if you do not enjoy these optional subjects that you should not pick them for the sole purpose of the small benefit it may bring. It will give you early insight into the subject and better prepare you for the future. Also, it’s perfectly fine if after studying the subject you feel that it is not something that engages you. It is never too late to change your career plan. Skills from every subject are transferable and despite whatever subject you chose you will gain an excellent skill set applicable to many aspects in your future studies.
