I go through topics that I discuss with the student in the previous lesson for it to be more focused and tailored to what they are covering in class or would like help in, which makes lessons more flexible and avoids being outdated. I also work to a syllabus if given one by the student as that makes it better to revise bigger topics in smaller amounts of time.
