My Teaching Approach

Tutoring is an incredibly personal way of learning, so I am very flexible with the structure of lessons and manner of teaching depending on what the tutee needs. That being said, I do have my own style which will hopefully suit the tutee's needs. A taster session is an opportunity for the tutee and parent to tell me what kind of help they need, whether it be exam revision, covering content, essay writing, or anything else. We can see if I'm the right type of tutor for the tutee and progress from there. From then on, it is a case of working at the tutee's speed to make sure they hone their skills or knowledge regardless of how long it takes. I'm happy to set and mark homework to make our lessons even more productive and I always plan what needs to be covered in each lesson to make it as tailored and helpful as possible. I'm relatively flexible with times and I try to respond as quickly as possible. Tutoring is meant to be very beneficial and I aim to make it as worthwhile as possible.
