Question:

Explain the importance of the blood vessel taking blood out of the Bowman’s capsule being narrower than the blood vessel taking blood into the Bowman’s capsule.

Methods:

Answer:

As the blood vessel taking blood out of the Bowman’s capsule is narrower, it has a smaller width. The smaller width creates more resistance, which increases blood pressure inside the Bowman’s capsule. This helps ultrafiltration as it forces certain substances in the blood through the membrane/out of the blood, for example Urea.
