Simplify and then solve by factorisation 3x(x+2)-7=2, to find x.

Question:

Simplify and then solve by factorisation 3x(x+2)-7=2, to find x.

Methods:

3x(x+2)-7=2

3x^2+6x-7=2

3x^2+6x-9=0

3(x^2+2x-3) = 0

[Divide by 3]

(x^2+2x-3) =0

(x+3) (x-1) =0

Answer:

x = -3

x = 1
