Question:

What is (x-5)^2?

Methods:

Separate the square: (x-5)^2 = (x-5) (x-5)

Multiply the variables: x and x to make x^2

Multiply the numbers: -5 x -5 = 25

Multiply a variable and a number: -5x times this value by two: -10x

Add all answers altogether

Answer:

x^2- 10x + 25
