My Teaching Approach

My teaching approach is focussed on personalised and adaptive strategies that cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each student. The cornerstone of this approach is building a strong, trusting relationship with the student, which involves understanding their academic strengths, weaknesses, interests, and anxieties. This relationship allows me to create a safe and encouraging learning environment where the student feels comfortable asking questions and expressing doubts.

A key aspect of my tutoring approach is using formative assessments to continually gauge the student's understanding and progress. These assessments help me adjust the pace and direction of teaching, ensuring that the student remains engaged and challenged without feeling overwhelmed.

I believe continuous feedback is essential in the tutoring process. Constructive feedback helps students recognise their successes and areas needing improvement, fostering a growth mindset. By maintaining open lines of communication, I can ensure that the student feels supported throughout their learning journey, making adjustments as needed to optimise their educational outcomes.
